How To Use GTB Naira Master Card

There is nothing special about
using your GTb card to make payment online.
please note that you could use your Naira Mastercard
from GTBank to transact online. However, where a website does
not accept your Naira Mastercard, simply contact your bank
branch and ask help.
Meanwhile, please be very careful and be sure the websites where
you are using the MasterCard are safe and not fake.
There are important steps you must follow before using your
Naira master card effectively. You don’t just obtain it from any
Gtbank branches and start making use of it. No! See what you
must do.
STEP 1: Go to any Gtbank branch nation wide and open an
account either savings or current and also Fund the account.
STEP 2: Gtbank will send you a text or email after 2-3 weeks to come and
collect your Gtbank naira master card.This card is not different
from other ATM card.
The Card has 16 digits which is the card master number and it bears your
name.
At the back it has 3 digits number at the extreme, which is called
CCV2
STEP 3:Get a small device in the branch where you open the
account. The device is called “Token” you have to pay about N3000 for it
at any Gtbank branch. Gtbank will give you an ID, which is
generated from the account number you opened. The token also
has about 10 numbers at the back, you will use it later when making purchase online.GTBank will
also send a numeric password to your email address. Your ID
and the password is what you will use to register. Assuming your
password is 12345
STEP 4: Login to your browser at http://www.Gtbank.com. Click on “
Internet banking “then click on login.
Enter your account ID and the password “12345”. Enter the token
number at the back of the token device without the dash- or
comma.
On conclusion you have to click on “continue” or “Next”.
Another page will appear where you have to obtain a secure code
for safe online transaction.
STEP 5:You must “click here” to continue verification in order to
obtain a secure code. The question is this, what is a secure code?
This is a security code just like password, which only you know
in order to carry out the safest online transaction. * Press your
token once to generate immediately you “click here” a page will
appear. Please remember your names, e-mail address, phone
number, security question and answer, date of birth you used
when opening your account or else you need to go back to your
bank and get them. But if you know these data, let’s move on.
You have to enter your account name “john” ,
Security question and answer etc. generate a welcome note such
as “welcome to------” “ -----” etc. this word will appear whenever
you want to make online payment showing you are the person
on the Internet.
Enter a security code e.g. :00000A etc” make sure
you will always remember what you choose as your security
code.
Once you are true with it, my brother your online payment is secure.
HOW TO USE IT TO TRANSACT ONLINE:
Login to the site you want to purchase item e.g. books, wears,
electronics, laptops etc.
Let me use aliexpress.com as an example or even amazon.com.
click on “buy” or “pay” on the site . by then you must have
searched for what you want to buy.
A page will pop out for check out
*Enter the 16 digits card number at the front
*Enter the name on the card (please type it exactly as it. If it is
capital letters, use capital letters.
* Input the CCV number, which is the 3-digit number at the end of
the coated numbers.
Click on continue.
Note your card will not just pay. A pop up page from Gtbank will appear demanding of your secure code. Please check the page if it contains your welcome note as above.
Input every other detail like security question and answer you
used. This is to make sure you are the one using the card.
If every data is correct, you have the merchant site without any
distortion. You see that makes Gtbank naira master card secure.
IMPORTANT
Make sure all the data you are using is correct.
Do not disclose your password, PIN or secur2-3 weeks to come and
collect your Gtbank naira master card.This card is not different from other ATM card.
